We have just had the second round of the great e-commerce event ShopMasters, which took place on February 9th at the Shoptet offices in Prague’s Karlín. ShopMasters, of course, is not missing from my E-commerce Calendar, if only because it is organized by the top players in e-commerce: Ecomail, Zásilkovna, and Shoptet. How did it go and why is it worth going next time?
ShopMasters is not just an event, but a community-building
ShopMasters is not a one-time event where you just watch a few lectures, have a bite to eat, have a coffee, and then go home. It is a regular meeting of the top players in the industry, who share their experiences with the aim of inspiring each other and helping each other grow. Given last year’s e-commerce slump, this meeting focused, among other things, on the strategic decisions that are essential for the successful growth of e-shops. This was reflected in both the lectures and the masterminds.
There were also lectures, three in total. Ruslan Skopal from Trenýrkárna.cz, Kristýna Křížová from K+L NET, s.r.o. (Agátin svět), and Samuel Huba from Shoptet shared their know-how with us. The specific feature of this event are the masterminds. These are two-hour group discussions with a limited number of participants, led by an experienced mentor. Each mastermind is focused on a specific topic, pre-selected by the given mentor. There were a total of six, and this time the topics included strategy, sustainability, or crisis management in e-commerce.
Networking until late at night
The atmosphere at the entire ShopMasters was great. This was evidenced by the complete sell-out of tickets more than a week before the event. Hmm, maybe there were a few extra people there. Being in the company of more than a hundred of the best people in the Czech e-commerce waters meant strengthening relationships with acquaintances, making new contacts, and endless discussions not only about e-commerce, but about many other topics.
Networking, accompanied by a pleasant catering, lasted at least until midnight, maybe longer. And that means one thing: ShopMasters will continue. If you want to be the first to know about it, regularly follow the website shompasters.cz or sign up for my E-commerce Calendar, where this event will appear as soon as the date is clear. Thanks to everyone who came and whom I met. I’m already looking forward to the third round.
