Sometimes you need to slow down or even stop in order to speed up again. And that’s exactly what I’m doing with Meet&Deal. Last year, I may have had slightly big eyes, but my ambitions are always the highest. In the article Meet&Deal: Networking that changed the rules of the game, I introduced the packed year 2025, which started with an expansion and a series of events. According to some, they were a bit too frequent. What forced me to stop, look back and overhaul the entire Meet&Deal concept? Which events are changing, being cancelled, and which ones are being added?
“What, another Meet&Deal in a month? Isn’t that too much?”
When you hear this sentence several times during one quarter, it makes you think. The first half of 2025 was also ours. Take a look at what we’ve accomplished, maybe even thanks to you.
Meet&Deal vol4 – Bratislava
A big risk that paid off. For the first time, we took Meet&Deal outside of Prague and went straight to Slovakia. An experiment that became proof that the Meet&Deal brand resonates beyond the borders. Slovaks want a continuation. And we’ll be happy to give it to them one day. See how it went there.
Meet&Deal vol5 Street Food Edition
A triumphant return to Prague. 330 people, a fabulous atmosphere, unplanned swimming, and a bunch of deals. But also the first bigger complication, because people… Take a look at how the deals were made at vol5.
Meet&Deal vol7 Brno Edition
We skipped vol6 (do you know why?) and headed to the first out-of-Prague Meet&Deal within the Czech Republic. Brno had a great vibe, despite the more intimate atmosphere, and we fully launched the cooperation with OREA Hotels & Resorts. In Brno, too, deals were flying through the air, take a look at them.
Meet&Deal vol8 Plzeň Edition
From the east to the west. So far the smallest yet most nourishing networking in the history of Meet&Deal. But it began to confirm that one event per month, even if each time in a different city, is not the ideal path. What happened in Plzeň, you can find in the report.
Here I said stop. Why? When you build something with your heart, you often overlook the fact that the capacity is not endless. Not yours, not your team’s, not your partners’, not the community’s. And that’s exactly what showed up this year.
My team has shrunk. But those who have the drive are still here. From the original 15 people, we’re now down to 10. Those who spoke loudly but that was about it had to leave. The graphic designer, the producer, even our in-house photographer. And sometimes it was tough decisions – but undoubtedly necessary.
In the core team, we’ve better divided the responsibilities and as a result, we’ve really streamlined the work. So you won’t really notice anything on the outside. But what you will notice are the following changes in the events.
We’re moving the all-inclusive EDITION
Together with OREA Hotels & Resorts, we were supposed to launch a grand 3-day event in Harrachov in September. The whole hotel just for us, 200 participants, 50+ speakers.
After several meetings, we came to the conclusion that we need more time to prepare for such a big event. The ambition remains the highest, but we simply want to do it properly. After all, we’ll have the entire hotel completely to ourselves.
That’s why we are moving the date to June 3-5, 2026. You can already be on the waiting list at mitdyl.cz. It’s going to be grand.
We’re cancelling the Meet&Deal Olomouc Edition
One event had to go. Events in smaller cities make sense to us, but not in the current mode. We’d rather reduce the number of events than compromise on quality. I believe we’ll visit Olomouc, but not this year.
But what about Meet&Deal and the second half of 2025?
We had to slow down in order to be able to add more. So that we’re not just moving and cancelling, we’re adding two more events by the end of this year. We’re bringing back the exclusivity of Meet&Deal and for now, we’ll stay in Prague. We’ll start with a celebration, because there will be something to celebrate.
Meet&Deal vol9 Birthday Edition
It turned out that Meet&Deal and summer vibes work great together. On August 28, I’ll celebrate my 30th birthday at Villa Kajetánka and invite the entire e-commerce scene. Balíkovna has become the general partner of the event, and believe me, it will be worth it.
Meet&Deal vol10 Xmas Edition
From summer to winter. On December 11, we’ll enjoy the pre-Christmas time with friends, good drinks, and the most nourishing networking. You can see this as a Christmas party with colleagues. Why not?
You can find both events on the mitdyl.cz website, as well as waiting lists where you can sign up now. You can’t buy tickets yet.
And why are we doing waiting lists instead of regular sales? Because of FOMO, because we’re preparing a new website, and also because we want to know the real interest of people before we open the gates to tickets. The launch of individual event tickets will go as follows. First, people on the waiting lists will find out, then people in the Meet&Deal database, and only then everyone else.
Especially for vol9 Birthday Edition, time will be crucial, there will be a very limited number of tickets for sale, so I have a feeling that it won’t even go beyond the waiting list. So I wouldn’t hesitate. And if you want your company to be a partner, don’t hesitate either. There aren’t many spots and those 50+ e-commerce people at Villa Kajetánka don’t just want to shop, but mainly to have fun.

As you can see, it’s not a small amount. But for me, these changes were inevitable. We needed to take a breather. I believe it will give us a boost and we’ll confirm it right at the end of August at vol9. So take a look at the website, join the waiting list, and be with us this year.
