Three cities, three evenings, hundreds of people, and hundreds more new connections – that’s what we’ve had so far this year as part of Meet&Deal. We continue on June 19 in Pilsen and then have at least two more stops. When we were fine-tuning the details of the next year of Meet&Deal, I felt it would be nice to try to step out of the Prague bubble and venture into the regions. But I also knew it wouldn’t be easy – to transfer the atmosphere, energy, and quality of the most nourishing networking to completely new cities. The result? So far, it’s working. Will we confirm it in Pilsen?
We started this year’s ride in February in Bratislava, where Meet&Deal crossed the border for the first time. From Prague, we went straight to Slovakia. In the industrial space of the Space by Haas gallery, people from business, e-commerce, startups, and marketing gathered. Among them, for example, Michal Yaksha Novotný, Adam Štrba, Eliška-Jana Auer, Imrich Kovaľ, Jana Malaga, and nearly 150 other guests. We introduced a space to many Slovaks that they had not even heard of before.
Then came the Prague Meet&Deal vol5 at Manifest with more than 200 visitors. A lot of new contacts, ideas, and collaborations were created here. People like Jakub Kantor from Kantor studio, Jakub Malý from Targit, or Lucie Gajdošová from OREA Hotels & Resorts and a whole host of other people came. And then came Brno – our first stop in Moravia and again a completely different energy. A more intimate evening at the OREA Congress Hotel, but all the more intense.
One thing I particularly appreciate this year is the collaboration with Jakub Časlava, his mother Martina, and the Kubova English Foundation. We hold a raffle with gifts from partners at almost every Meet&Deal – but the proceeds always go 100% to a good cause. In the first half of this year, we managed to raise almost 150,000 CZK. And that’s exactly the added value I believe in.
The summer break is needed – but before that, we’re heading to Pilsen, after the summer we’ll be in Olomouc, and before the end of the year we’ll be back in Prague. In Pilsen, we made a small cosmetic adjustment and moved the event also due to the summer vibes to the DEPO2015 space. A large part of the event will take place outdoors. So can we call it a Summer Edition vol2?
A lot of interesting people from Prague, other parts of the country, and Slovakia will come to Pilsen. And that doesn’t even count the local players. You can look forward to names like Milan Polák, Tomáš Rajchl, Richard Zelinka, Jakub Malý, Jan Janouškovec, Bára Šmídová, or Jiří Zima. There will, of course, be many more, and you’ll see the full list of participants before the event after purchasing a ticket.
We’re also bringing a panel discussion to Pilsen, this time on the topic of social media. In the moderator’s chair, Petr Vojnar will replace Ruslan Skopal, whom you may also know from television. Who will be among the guests? Let yourself be surprised for now, but we’ll interview people for whom social media accounts for a large part of their turnover, who live off it completely, or who don’t do it at all.
Tickets to Pilsen are still available, so catch yours on the website meetdeal.cz/plzen-edition.
