Meet&Deal vol7: We met in Brno and dealt until night

Blog > Networking > Meet&Deal > Meet&Deal vol7: We met in Brno and dealt until night

For the first time in history, we brought the most nourishing networking to Brno. Although it was a more intimate event with around 150 people, it had a great vibe, which means one thing – we will want to return to Brno. How did it all go and look, what deals were closed, how much was raised for a good cause, and who won the now legendary 1to1 tournament in rock-paper-scissors? Join us as we go through it.

The gates of the OREA Congress Hotel in Brno opened exactly at 5 pm and we immediately launched networking at full speed. The salon did not lack catering, where participants could choose between burgers, sushi and healthy food. This was taken care of by OREA. “The atmosphere, the food, the place… It was great,” Lukáš Mehnert, B2B SaaS Marketing expert, shared his impressions with us.

During the opening speech, we presented a raffle together with Kuba Čáslava and his mother Martina. The cooperation with the Kubova English Foundation works great for us. Kuba himself thanked me in his speech that we helped their foundation the most – well, when he disregards his reach on social networks and his mother.

This time we collected for Michal, for whom we contributed to necessary rehabilitation. We managed to collect 35,267 CZK and the participants took home great prizes from our partners, such as Husky.cz, Dajana Rodriguez, DonLemme, Natural Protein, shirts byAndré, NETWORKING AKCE and others. Thanks for that.

Before 6 pm, the panel discussion on the topic of expansion, which we decided to bring back into the program after a one-event break, started for us. The moderator’s chair was taken by Ruslan Skopal, who handed out a few vouchers for underwear before the start.

We thoroughly discussed the expansion – the guests were Jan Jelínek, CMO of Alensa, Dominik Válka, CEO of Serious Media, and Honza Mayer, Managing Director of Heureka CZ&SK. We learned a lot of valuable information. “Expansion doesn’t necessarily have to be just about earning more, but also about diversifying risk in case of market changes where the e-shop owner/entrepreneur is currently operating.” This is an idea that resonated a lot with Patrik Vilímek, Head of CZ Core Sales at Shoptet.

Of course, we couldn’t miss our legendary 1to1 rock-paper-scissors tournament, whose final was moderated by Libor Nádvorník from Mailkit. It looks like Kazi has been dethroned forever? We’ll see. Anyway, this time the whole tournament was won by David Zelenka, who is engaged in Strategic Marketing and AI.

Networking has a real impact, even if you don’t strike the deal of your dreams, as the words of one of our ambassadors, Imrich Kováľ, CEO of Merineo, say: “Our discussion with Branislav Martanovič there has in many and not just business respects reworked my view of the influencer business.”

And we have it from the other side as well: “Yesterday’s Meet&Deal in Brno – André Kohout 🚀 was a great event. I really enjoyed myself – I chatted with a lot of interesting people, but I enjoyed the conversation with Imrich Kováľ the most. We talked all evening – and it is precisely thanks to such conversations that ideas arise that I want to take further.”

The advantage of the Brno Meet&Deal was undoubtedly the fact that you didn’t have to go anywhere. The full program, including the afterparty and actually even the accommodation, took place in the OREA Congress Hotel. So a person could take a break and come back whenever they wanted.

Next time we’ll take a look at the other end of the country. Meet&Deal vol8 Plzeň Edition will take place in the West Bohemian metropolis in less than a month, on June 19th. Tickets and complete info can be found on our website.
