The event season is almost over, and we are already planning Christmas parties and a slightly different networking. What events were worth it in the last 2 months? Let’s take a look at the ninth edition of the Tour de e-commerce conference.
Tip for better networking
If you want to take your networking to the next level, get my ebook NETWORKING byAndré, where I’ve put together all my experience with networking and the most important things you need to know as a beginner or as someone who has been networking for a while.
More careful selection of events after the summer
Given that I’m getting more and more selective about the events I attend, there are fewer and fewer where I show up. This time I was at 9 events in 2 months. I started right away in grand style at the StartUp Awards, which took place on September 12. It was a really great event full of interesting people, well-known and successful startups that CzechCrunch found, selected, and honored. The next day, almost the entire Meet&Deal team and I went on a team building trip, but you probably already know about that from my article Meet&Deal team building: We have event dates for the whole year.
On September 19, I headed to Social Restart, organized by Taste. There, I exceptionally also perceived the content, whether it was a lecture by Daniel Vachuna on the virtual influencer BabyBlue or a small panel Prachy, železo a komunity, where Michael Koch interviewed Radar from Železný koule and Denisa Hrubešová from Forendors. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the lecture by Eva Čejková, which I had arranged for the event.
After Social Restart, I went for a consultation at Socialmind, whom I’m helping with their Social media Masterclass #2. I’ll get back to that, but if you want to consult your business with me, book a consultation here. After the consultation, I went to the presentation of the new collaboration between Bombay Sapphire and Maxim Velčovský, where I was invited by Adam Zbiejczuk, and it turned out to be a nice networking event in the end.
On September 21, Alex Vecka invited me to celebrate his birthday, so on the way there I stopped by Kamenická Rocks, organized by Eliška from Dark Concept Store, and then networked at the celebration. I also met a lot of interesting people there.
On September 25, David Gregor and I headed to Slovakia, as we had been invited to Upterdam – the largest e-commerce conference in Slovakia. We packed the equipment and went to create content – we started in Bratislava, where I was first a guest on the Trustpay podcast (to be released in December), and then we moved to Senec. But you already know that from my article Visit to the largest e-commerce conference in Slovakia. What was Upterdam like? Upterdam is a great event, and I’m already looking forward to next year.
A nutritious October, which is not over yet
A week later, Terka and I went to Vinařství U svatého Martina to see how they were doing and how it was working out for them. Remember that from the Meet&Deal Summer Edition?
After a short break, on October 10, I went to Ostrava, where I moderated MarketingON. Aside from the Meet&Deal events, it was my first time moderating. And how did it go? I think it went great. Only once did I lose my train of thought, and once I mixed up a name. For a 6-hour moderation, I think that’s pretty good.
On the same day, the aforementioned Social media Masterclass #2 also took place, which I couldn’t attend in person, so I sent my team. The result? 3 interesting presentations on the topic of social media. Rasťo Kiavčin looked at it from the perspective of brands, Alex Gritsayev outlined the trends of 2025, and Mike Bubeníček connected it with the influence of artificial intelligence. At the end, there was a panel discussion, which the lecturers were joined by Líza Miloshevskaya and Adriana Hudáková. During the program, participants could ask questions on Slido, so both the lectures and the panel were even more interesting. Of course, there was also networking, which started right after the start of the event and continued until the evening hours. I know well how difficult it is to organize almost 200 people in one place, but Alex and Zuzana managed it brilliantly, and I’m looking forward to our next collaboration.
On October 14, Naty Chládková invited me to the first Finmag event she organized. You may know Natka from Meet&Deal, where she’s been helping with registration and event preparation since vol2. Anyway, Camp in Prague is a really nice modern space, and from a networking perspective, it was a top-notch event.
On October 16, Michael Rytíř held another Networking Party at Václavák22, which we came up with together. Although I’m no longer helping him with it, I had to stop by. The next day, I visited the Atelier of Dreams – Porsche Macan launch event from Czechcrunch.
Then I had a break and the final preparations for the most nutritious networking Meet&Deal vol3, which will take place on October 31 in the Kaiserštejnský palace. Before that, Terka and I did a 3-day trip to Albania, so you can soon look forward to a travelogue.
