He gets up at 5 in the morning, doesn’t eat meat on Thursdays, locks his MacBook in a locker before his colleagues, and you can’t smell the food in his Mercedes. Tomáš Rajchl aka CEO of Foxdeli accepted the invitation to my show Reels Talk byAndré, and this is a new format next to the classic recorded interview, in which you will learn the most interesting and important things that were said during the filming.
Part of Reels Talk is the traditional tour de office section, which you can always watch in the vlog on my YouTube profile. What did the behind-the-scenes of the interview look like, and do Foxdeli have nice offices in Karlín? Check out the vlog.
From head of design to CEO
How did we come to Tomáš? Tomáš started at Foxdeli as head of design, then moved to the role of product manager, and after the departure of their previous CEO, he got into this role. He thus has a perfect overview of what everyone in the company is doing and can therefore make strategic decisions based on real experience.
We properly vet each guest. We also found out a few interesting things about Tomáš, which I just had to ask him about. So I started the interview by asking if he still hides his MacBook from his colleagues in a locker…
On his Facebook, I found that he had such a bad habit. He used to leave his MacBook unlocked on the desk, which could be quite easily abused. Do you think it happened? Tomáš not only locks the computer itself, but also locks it in a locker and then hides the key… So you can guess. And what happened to those colleagues? It’s better not to talk about that…
To have a good life, you have to take care of yourself
Tomáš Rajchl has been an entrepreneur for over 14 years, and whether it was RealFood or Supertělo.cz, his projects have always revolved around sports and a healthy lifestyle. Tomáš claims that whatever we do in life is always a combination of the quality of our life and lifestyle. “To have a good life, you have to take care of yourself,” he explains. This is also associated with discipline, which, according to Tomáš, is lacking in today’s generation. Yet it is an important part of feeling good and happy. He also adds that discipline gives him space for creativity, freedom, joy, and energy in his life.

No meat on Thursdays? Never!
Tomáš loves principles and rules, so when he decides on something, it just applies. With his family, they decided that every Thursday is a vegan day, so he never eats meat on that day… Well, he didn’t even give in when I invited him to Brasileiro on a Thursday. 🤫
His principles and discipline are also related to his workday. It may look a bit different every day, but the morning doesn’t differ. He gets up every day at 5 o’clock in the morning, does meditation, and then goes to the gym. But after a whole day and work duties, he’s in bed by 9 pm.
I managed to break this rule with Tomáš. He last broke his bedtime rule at the Meet&Deal Summer Edition, but I understand that, of course. 😁 I asked him what changes when he has a hangover… And nothing. He said he last had one 20 years ago. Guess why. Because of his discipline.
In addition to discipline, order is also important to him. I found out that he is touchy about his Mercedes. So I asked what would happen if I had a McDonald’s in his car. “Such a person would never sit in my Mercedes,” was the answer. According to him, it’s important to have order around you if you want to have purity and peace within yourself. Plus, he hasn’t had a McDonald’s in almost 20 years.

Fuckup for millions
Fuckups didn’t spare Tomáš Rajchl either. They were rather smaller problems, but there were quite a few of them. The biggest one he encountered about 10 years ago occurred when several things collapsed at once, and the whole situation cost him a lot of money, even in the millions, he says. Tomáš describes it as a very difficult experience, where a lot of money was owed to people, and it was quite harsh. But in the end, he adds that it is precisely the fuckups that are the reason why he keeps moving forward and growing.
Where shopping ends, Foxdeli begins
Where does Tomáš work? Foxdeli is a post-purchase platform that allows an e-shop to communicate with customers from the creation of an order to its delivery. They have been developing their product at Foxdeli for a long time, and now it is ready to reach clients and potential customers. Where can you know them from? They were the general partner of Meet&Deal vol3, where they were in charge of the raffle and helped raise over 100,000 crowns for a good cause.
