You don’t leave Meet&Deal with just business cards, but with real collaborations and experiences that will resonate with you for a long time. For example, Jakub Kantor aka Mr. Brand has been convinced of (million) new deals in the past. This time it’s Libor Nádvorník, Jakub Malý, Dan Rykr and many others. What collaborations are being born at Meet&Deal?

The Most Nourishing Networking
No one can deny this. Bring together interesting people in a unique place, add great catering, drinks and embellish the additional program, and you have a place where collaborations are born on their own.

It’s not forced. No speed dating, forced rounds, business card exchange or anything like that. But a relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can go and have fun with people who are like you. Where will you have the opportunity to chat with someone without them focusing on a lecture? During the coffee break? Definitely.

Libor Nádvorník from Mailkit is a regular guest at Meet&Deal. “I’ve met a lot of people. Estimated maybe 20-30. We’re working on a collaboration with Foxdeli and communicating with dozens more, including those we would otherwise have a hard time reaching,” he says. That’s exactly the point – to have in one place people who are normally hard to reach.

We’ve created a space that we enjoy. And it’s obvious that our participants enjoy it too. And the deals? They’re just the icing on the cake. The main thing is to meet, create and build relationships. Because at least in my opinion, business is mainly about relationships today. “I always meet new people and I really enjoy their stories and experiences. Plus, sharing know-how is something that really appeals to me. In addition to other classic deals, I found a new lawyer, Dominik Lokvenc. A pleasant bonus is our common view on society and life,” says Jaroslav Nosek, Sales Director at Radiohouse.

Deal for a Good Cause
This deal may not have the business potential you might expect. But it has much more. A while ago we partnered with Kuba Časlava aka Kubova English, who I don’t really need to introduce. He and his mother founded the Kubova English Foundation, and in collaboration with them we select funds for a good cause through raffles or auctions at each of our events.

We started with contributions to a good cause at Meet&Deal vol2 and since then we’ve been approaching CZK 500,000. Sure, it’s not millions, but in this case every crown makes sense.

The Magic of Networking? Longevity
One networking event won’t save you. Sure, you can start a few collaborations right away. But relationships need to be cared for. The best way to build relationships is to meet regularly. That’s why Meet&Deal is not about a single event. Eliška Krásná, an English teacher, has also seen this for herself: “While at vol8 in Pilsen I didn’t quite manage to close a deal or establish interesting business relationships, but the second time, when I was already seasoned, it went like butter and I took away a lot of inspiration and future deals. So I can confirm what more sources have told me – the magic of networking is mainly in the long term, so I’ll try to go regularly as much as I can.”
