2 deals for a million. What all was baked at the Meet&Deal Summer Edition?

Although the Meet&Deal Summer Edition was already held in June (check out the report and photos), some deals need time to be finalized, while others need to mature. Moreover, it turned out that some deals started to be arranged already at vol2 – perhaps this is the reason why it is worth attending the Meet&Deal events regularly. But back to the point. I interviewed a number of guests and asked them if any cooperation was successful thanks to this event. And there are two deals worth a million. That’s pretty good, isn’t it?

According to my estimates, there were definitely dozens of deals. I myself arranged several collaborations there, even one of those two million-dollar ones. Fajn Radio became the first partner of the Meet&Deal events for the entire year 2025, when we are preparing several events. But more about that next time.

For example, Petr Chlup, CRO of Foxdeli, shared his deals with me: ‘We closed a great deal with the company MK Lůžkoviny. At the previous Meet&Deal, we started exchanging ideas and at the Summer Edition we definitively sealed it. What really got me was the close and friendly approach that is created thanks to Meet&Deal. Our cooperation was smooth from the beginning. Whenever something needed to be fine-tuned, everything went smoothly. Jakub Kalvoda, CEO of MK Lůžkoviny, is a real class, and I’m sure we’ll hear a lot more about him.’

For example, Petr Litavec, Head of Authentica Fulfillment, was not far behind: ‘We met the guys from Autoarti, who are currently setting up our CRM for us. They are doing a great job.’ What more could you want?

‘I’ve been coming to Meat&Deal from the very beginning, and for me it’s not just about the deals we’ve managed to close, but also about meeting interesting people from different fields, getting to know them, and who knows, maybe there will be another deal,’ says Lukáš Hertl, CEO of Autoarti.

Barbora Hejl, Founder of Social Colors and former CMO of MK Lůžkoviny, also shared her findings with me: ‘At all the Meet&Deal events, I’ve met great people, industry specialists and business owners. I’d say that from each event I take away about three great business contacts. Thanks to networking and fun, I always learned some news that I sometimes didn’t have time to keep up with. I’ve been to every event so far and I’m planning to attend the fourth Meet&Deal vol3 event, this time not representing a company, but myself as a freelance marketer.’

Everyone agrees that Meet&Deal played a crucial role in establishing new collaborations, whether due to the composition of the visitors or the relaxed atmosphere. The name itself probably says it all, doesn’t it?

The second million-dollar deal was baked between Radiohouse, represented by Jaroslav Nosek, and the company (or rather the e-shop) Krmiva Pučálka, represented by Martin Pučálka. While Radiohouse represents media – a whole range of radio stations, such as Fajn Rádio, Rock Radio, the Hitrádio network, Rádio Blaník, etc., Krmiva Pučálka represent (unexpectedly) pet food for dogs, cats and other animals.

A year-long intensive campaign for the Marp pet food brand was created between Radiohouse and Krmiva Pučálka, which will run on multiple stations. The campaign will not focus on performance, but primarily on branding. That’s why one of the important points of the entire deal was also measurability.

How was it baked? ‘It started with an event at the Trenýrkárna offices at the beginning of the year, where I met Petr Harcuba from Radiohouse and we arranged a meeting. At the meeting, we found out that Jarda Nosek, whom I know from Pet Center, is now working for Petr, and we agreed on some kind of offer for our flagship brand of dog and cat food Marp,’ describes Martin Pučálka, CEO of Krmiva Pučálka. ‘With Martin, we already talked for hours (especially at the afterparty) at Meet&Deal vol2 about various topics, including how to help him move his Marp holistic pet food brand forward. This was followed by, let’s say, a series of official meetings where we showed each other the possibilities and started fine-tuning the specific form of the collaboration. And everything was leading to the aforementioned meeting at the Meet&Deal Summer Edition in Město~Moře, where we finalized the whole thing,’ adds Jaroslav Nosek from Radiohouse.

Another very important person in the deal negotiation was Ruslan Skopal, CEO of Trenýrkárna.cz. ‘Ruslan, as our long-time client, acted and acts as a ‘beacon’ for Martin Pučálka from my point of view. Simply reassurance that radio as a media type makes sense (of course not for everyone). At the same time, we also fine-tuned the specific form of the offer, because Ruslan is demanding both on data and on the actual creativity, which is absolutely crucial for radio,’ said Jaroslav Nosek from Radiohouse. ‘Ruslan played a very important role in this. We’ve known each other since childhood and in recent years we’ve been meeting and talking about work in various ways. I knew he was big on radio. He practically convinced me that if it makes sense for them, it should make sense for us too. At the same time, he came up with his own view on how he would do it in our case,’ adds Martin Pučálka.

How long did it all take? A few months, but that’s normal for deals of that scale. ‘It had two phases. First came the offer, which I didn’t deal with for a long time, or rather I doubted whether it made sense. In the second phase, I told myself that we had to decide, and that then took almost two months,’ Martin Pučálka concludes.

‘Undoubtedly. On the one hand, you can meet people who offer you a service, like Jarda (Nosek), and on the other hand, you can meet people like Ruslan, who will give you feedback on that and even advise you on how to do it best. Even though I knew both of them from before, similar people go to networking events. I would add one personal observation from these events. I was very surprised how open people are at Meet&Deal and how not only do they have something to say and are happy to say it, but they also listen very carefully to what could be beneficial for them. And this applies even to very experienced and successful veterans,’ says Martin Pučálka.

‘I’ve met dozens of people, some of whom I’ve talked to in more depth, others less. For me, Meet&Deal is about more than just closing deals; it’s also about sharing experiences and being part of the e-commerce community. Conversations about the current challenges facing e-shops and how experienced professionals handle them are a great inspiration for me. That’s why I try to meet as many people as possible and let things flow naturally. At the Meet&Deal Summer Edition, the Foxdeli team and I went with a clear plan, and we fulfilled it to the dot. We met the people we wanted to establish contacts with, we got the important information we needed, and we also had a lot of fun. And oh, I shouldn’t forget, my colleague Petr, who has never won anything in his life, took home a great backpack from Husky from the raffle – that was a great bonus at the end,’ says Petr Chlup, CRO of Foxdeli, which, by the way, is a partner of the upcoming Meet&Deal vol3 event.
