This time it took me a bit longer, but in my defense – I was dealing with the Meet&Deal Summer Edition and was finalizing the E-COMMERCE AKCE project. But finally, here is the eighth installment of the popular Tour de e-commerce series. In 3 months, I managed to attend 14 events and even take a side trip to Italy. Let’s go through it together. At the end, I have a tip for you on informal networking during the summer.
From Prague to Bari and back
In Tour de e-commerce vol. 7, I offered you the planned events I was personally preparing for – some did not take place, some I missed, and some I added, so let’s take a look at them together.
On March 27, 2024, Michal Rytíř invited me to Václavák22, where the unveiling of the new Virulent with Lukáš Macháček collection took place. There, I met several acquaintances and showed a few people that even at such events, it is important to be prepared for networking.
On April 4, 2024, I visited the BaseLinker Expo, or rather their afterparty, where we met with Tomáš Braverman, who moderated the whole event, and then with other interesting people. The afterparty was decent – we networked until morning.
Before ShopRoku, Terka and I flew to Bari for a weekend, which was quite beneficial for me after Meet&Deal vol2 and all the other events, even though we walked about 100 km there. What we did there, you can find in my traditional travelogue Travelogue Bari: When you’re in Bari, go to Matera.
Networking, networking, and more networking
On May 14, 2024, the Reshoper warm-up party took place on the Střecha Radosti, which was a nice start to the full-day conference that followed the next day.
On May 15, 2024, we were with the team at the mentioned Reshoper, walked through the entire expo, attended the conference lectures, and most importantly, we networked. There were over 3,000 people from the e-commerce community at the PVA in Prague.
A week later, Michal Rytíř and I hosted a Networking Party in his Václavák22 spaces, where nearly 100 people came because they wanted to have fun with each other about their common interest – entrepreneurship. The event was successful and may be repeated, but I won’t be involved to the same extent, as I want to focus primarily on Meet&Deal, for which I have really big plans.
Events that (did not) take place
On May 28, 2024, we were at the GECOM event at the Martinický palác as the official networking partner of Meet&Deal. For the first time, we let people outside our events taste the unique Meet&Deal concept. It was a nice event for several hundred people in the beautiful premises.
On June 20, 2024, the Creative Restart took place, which neither I nor my team managed to attend. Boo.
On June 24, 2024, the TOP 100 e-shops by CzechCrunch was supposed to take place, but unfortunately, the event was canceled. Boo again.
We wrapped up the networking season with the Meet&Deal Summer Edition, which took place on June 25, 2024, in Město~Moře. At SE, almost 200 entrepreneurs, influencers, investors, or e-commerce community members networked and ‘dealed’.
